Price per copy, by format and length
A single copy at the standard specification, in USD. Longer books cost more to print, so each format is priced in page brackets — see a format's own page for its full bracket table and shipping rates.

What moves the price
Format
The trim size and the binding. A hardcover costs more to make than a stapled softcover, and each binding accepts a different range of lengths.
Length
Pages are the biggest lever on a long book. Printing is billed in brackets, so the price steps rather than climbing with every page you add.
Print and paper
Colour on heavy coated stock is what makes illustrations sing, and it costs several times what black and white on light uncoated paper does — per page, so the gap widens with length.
Destination and speed
Shipping is charged separately, scales with the number of copies, and varies by country. Not every carrier speed reaches every market.
Questions about print pricing
- How much does it cost to print a children's book?
- Printing starts at $25.99 per copy for a single book, plus shipping. The exact price depends on the format, how many pages the book has, how the pages are printed and how many copies you order — the calculator on this page shows the real figure for any combination.
- Why does the price stay the same when I add a few pages?
- Printing is priced in page brackets rather than per page, because the bindery charges by band. Adding pages inside your current bracket costs nothing extra, and crossing into the next one steps the price up. The brackets are listed under the page slider, so you can see how much room you have left.
- Is shipping included in the price?
- No — shipping is charged separately and depends on where the book is going and how fast you want it. We currently ship to United States. The calculator shows the shipping estimate for your destination; the exact amount is confirmed by the carrier at checkout.
- Are these prices what I actually pay?
- Yes. The book price shown is the price charged at checkout — it comes from the same price table the order does, not from an estimate. Sales tax, where it applies, is added at checkout. Shipping is the one figure that can move, because it is confirmed against a live carrier quote for your address.
- Do I need an account to see prices?
- No. This page is open to everyone, with no sign-up and no card required. You only need an account when you want to save a book or place an order.
- How long can a book be?
- Depending on the binding, a book can be between 2 and 800 pages. Each binding has its own limits and its own page increment — a bindery that works in fours can't make a book with an odd number of pages — and the calculator only lets you pick lengths that can actually be made.
- Do subscribers pay less for printing?
- Yes. Paid plans include a discount on every print order, which is applied automatically at checkout. You can see what each plan would pay by switching the buyer in the price panel — no subscription is needed to use the calculator or to order at the standard price.
